21 Days of Prayer

As we headed into the second half of the year, Pastor Bob led The Cause Church in dedicating 21 days to seeking the Lord through prayer. For the August expression of 21 Days of Prayer, we don’t emphasize the fasting. Fasting is always encouraged when entering into a time of devotion. Instead of focusing on fasting, we focus on praying, following the command of the apostle Paul, when he wrote, “…praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints” (Ephesians 6:18). This devotional permits our entire church to focus unity on a few key topics. By aligning us in agreement, we fulfill the principle of agreement that Jesus spoke about when he said, "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven” (Matthew 18:19).

Pastor Bob wrote a 365-day devotional to encourage anyone who chooses to experience God’s presence in a fresh and powerful way. During these 21 Days, we focus on the reading plan and the devotional words of Pastor Bob. This 21-day devotional in August will encourage you and motivate you to finish the end of year strong with a renewed focus on the Lord. Time of prayer such as this should strengthen you, and re-align you to what God is doing on this earth - a time to align yourself to His purposes. This is a great time to renew our commitment to prayer.

God’s not mad at you. He’s mad about you.
