Day 19 - Aug 23
Prayer point for Today: International call to righteousness. Revival in Brea & the U.S.
Inseparable
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39
Becoming a parent is exciting and terrifying. Realizing that you are now responsible for a life is a moment of permanent change and lifelong commitment.
Simultaneously, holding your newborn births in you a love that is as close to heaven as we experience. The love we have for our children is selfless. It is genuine and pure. It is giving without expecting. It resembles God’s love for us.
Still, God’s love is infinitely greater. He loves us so much that He sent His only Son to save us. He loves us so much that He lives inside us through the Holy Spirit as our most intimate friend. He loves us so much that He has prepared an eternity with us in mind.
He loves us so much that despite what we may do, the places we wander, or the ideas we embrace, He is still there waiting for us.
God’s heart beats faster in anticipation of encountering us each day, every moment. As declared in our verse, nothing can stop, alter, or separate us from His love.
I love the line from Chris Tomlin’s song, “Amazing love, how can it be that you my King would die for me?”
Your children may or may not be deserving of all that you do for them, but I know for sure that none of us deserves His love. Even then, He keeps on loving.
