Day 15 - Aug 19
Prayer Point for Today: The lost - those that we know (friends, family, neighbors & co-workers)
Dead or Alive
… God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;
Romans 4:17b
As a child I can remember being fascinated with how things worked, and the individual parts of which they were composed. My mother said that it wasn’t uncommon for me to take things apart just to examine the components, but she also said I didn’t always put them back together. Knowledge is good, but knowing what to do with it is better. Understanding is a good start, but the real wonder is the implementation of a plan. A doctor or therapist who can diagnose is important, but we also want one who knows the right course of treatment.
Faith in God means openness to a dimension that can’t be touched, examined, measured, or manipulated. Faith does have results though, dramatic ones. Changed lives, healed bodies, reconciled relationships, resurrected dreams and visions, protected lives, and Guided paths are examples of what happens when people step into the realm of faith.
The Bible is clear that there is a resurrection from the dead for all people, but God also breathes life into dead expressions of our journeys. Abraham and Sarah became parents when they were both well past childbearing years. This happened because they believed God.
Today, what circumstances are you facing that seem unchangeable? Which situations look dead? What opportunities appear to be a mirage that you will never experience?
Step into the God-realm of faith, and trust your Heavenly Father. He loves you just as much as He loved Abraham.
