Day 14 - Aug 18
Prayer Point for Today: The Cause to fulfill its calling. Personal vision & calling for all its members.
Cry Out
O Lord, God of my salvation,
I have cried out day and night before You.
2 Let my prayer come before You;
Incline Your ear to my cry.
Psalm 88:1-2
Life can be difficult…so difficult that we sometimes feel like God is not there, and if He is then He doesn’t care. These are the dark days of the soul when your energy and enthusiasm are gone, nothing seems to bring joy or relief, and the even those closest to you are without answers. Jesus experienced abject loneliness in the wilderness before His ministry began and a definite feeling of abandonment on the Cross; however, He never wavered in regards to His purpose or faithfulness.
The days that test the soul, the moments that can make one sadder and wiser, are never without the Father’s concern. The Bible says repeatedly that He never fails or forsakes us. There are however tests allowed by heaven, and challenges that we bring upon ourselves. None are more problematic than when we believe we are nearing defeat, and are ready to give up.
What can we do? Cry out! Look heavenward, don’t give up and don’t quit even when life throws its worst at you.
The Word says, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth”. (Psalm 121:1, 2).
He always hears!
